Personal Challenge: Sugarless June

I am a firm believer that if we try, we can achieve. I however am also a big talker and do not always practice what I preach.
While in Europe, I sat with a lovely young lady who had given up chocolate for lent. I told her many times that I was impressed by her self control but didn’t think I could do something like that.
Now, if someone had said that to me I would’ve been in their face asking them what made me so much more capable than them?
I love baked goods, sweets, treats, chocolate, candies and anything else loaded with sugar. It will be a challenge for me but that will make it even more rewarding when I succeed. So, for the month of June I am going to cut out chocolate and store bought treats (I will cut down on sugar with homemade stuff too!) to the best of my ability. As it is June 3rd today, I will report back on July 3rd to let you know how I did.

To all my friends and family, I simply ask that you do not tempt me with store bought pies, sour keys, Smarties, or other treats that could make me weak for the month of June (you know who you are!!).

What is something that you indulge in and it would be a challenge to give up? It doesn’t need to be food… absolutely anything! Let me know in the comments, I would love to hear from you 🙂
