Alas! Here is the 3rd and final part of my August Empties.
1. Philosophy – No Reason To Hide: Instant skin tone perfecting moisturizer with broad spectrum SPF 20 sunscreen (0.07 fl. oz. foil pack)
I have had this foil pack sitting around for hell knows how long. From reading the name, I thought that it was just a moisturizer, but it is in fact a high coverage tinted moisturizer. The colour of the tint was too dark for my skin so I covered it up with a foundation that was too light for me. It seemed nice enough but it just wasn’t for me.
2. Fresh – Lotus Youth Preserve Eye Cream with Super 7 Complex + Star Fruit Extract (0.06 fl. oz. foil pack)
This foil pack has probably been laying around as long as the Philosophy ones. It was alright but I prefer my Kiehl’s avocado eye cream.
3. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream
I use this as my daily moisturizer every morning and enjoy it more than anything else that I have tried. This is not my first tube, nor is it my last. I had another tube in my backup stash which I am now working my way through.
4. Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Intensive Hand Cream (1 fl. oz. sample tube)
I absolutely love everything about this stuff. The texture, that it doesn’t leave me oily, the scent and that I don’t need to reapply all that often. If this stuff weren’t so expensive I would buy a full sized tube.
5. Fresh – Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil (5 mL vile)
There was enough in this container for a few days use. To be honest I wasn’t blown away by this and I do not imagine that I would use it again should the oppurtunity present itself.
6. Philosophy – No Reason To Hide: Multi-imperfection transforming serum (0.07 fl. oz. foil pack)
I used the serum before I used the tinted moisturizer, just like the package suggested. I am not too sure what my expectations are supposed to be because I haven’t had any experience with face serums. It is something that I would like to get a better knowledge of and their potential benefits, maybe I will try some more out.
BONUS ITEM: David’s Tea – White Nectarine white tea (25 g)
This item didn’t reallly fit in with the any of the themes that I had going on, so here it is as a bonus. This was a nice mild tea. During the summer I still enjoy hot tea but I prefer the lighter flavours that a herbal, green or white tea offers. Part of me wishes that I would have tried it cold before I had used it all up. I think that it would have been marvelous over ice on a hot day.
Well, there we have it! It took 3 posts to get through all the items that I had used up. One of the best parts about it is that over 95% of the items were not replaced so there is more empty space in my cupboard. 🙂
