5 Ways to Deal With Stress

I have heard a recurring theme amongst friends: Stress.
So many people are trying to get things done before the snow flies, make big life decisions or cope with their current work load. I feel for each and every one of you and can definitely relate. Stress is a big mean monster who can make us feel two feet tall!

Here are some of the ways that I find helps me with my stress. Maybe they can help you too.

1 – Take a time out.

Whatever it is that is stressing you out, put it aside. Do a simple task or two that come easily to you that you have probably been neglecting. For me, this is normally cleaning my bedroom & bathroom. Once everything is in its place my mind feels less cluttered.
2 – Call your mom.

This can work in more than one way. Either your mom annoys you and will drive you insane, making your stressors seem like a breeze or you mom will listen to everything that you have going on and help boost your confidence to get it done.
3 – Give yourself incentive.

Put a picture on the background of your phone of something that you get once you get everything done. A good idea is something relaxing as you will probably need it at the end of the road. With it in your phone, you will have that constant reminder of what you are working towards.
4 – Give yourself a pep talk.

Look yourself in the mirror and remind yourself of all the things you have already accomplished and how you are more than capable of getting through this too. You are strong, you are beautiful, you are smart and watch out world because here you come!
5 – Ask for help.

A lot of the time when we are feeling overwhelmed it is because we are too stubborn to ask for help. Sometimes it is just not worth having 100% control of a situation and some helping hands is just what you need.

There you have it! My 5 tips to deal with stress. I know there have got to be a bunch more out there, so let me know in the comments what your tricks are to combat stress.
